2ManyKids! Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Having seen oil extraction pumps mentioned on here but never seen them in use I thought I would take the gamble and bought a Silverline 4 litre pump. On the basis you rarely get what you pay for I chose this online for about Quote
dave21 Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 the time you took 2 write your very detailed story you could of removed the sump nut and drained the oil yourself or went to smileys oil and filter change Quote

Bigjeeze Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 I bought a Pela 600 ( I think) and it works well - I can only get around 4 litres of Oil out whereas it should have 4.5 but hey ho!!! Quote

Hi yes I did another search after reading that and found it this time, thanks! It's possible I just got a duff pump and/or my learning curve turned the whole escapade into a saga, but essentially I posted in case anyone gets any help from my experience, as there were no useful hints with the kit! This site is so great for pooling first-hand experiences and my thanks to everyone for making this place not just useful, but fun sometimes too! Quote
swagger Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 i cant believe what i just read, why pay all that money for a pump when the same money would of got you an oil change at a service station, get your tesco points and use them at the garages they recommend...works out free Quote
